[영어 하루 한 문장] Go easy on yourself (살살 다뤄라, 심하게 하지 마라, 관대해라)

I had a problem with New Year's resolutions. (다짐, 결심) 새해 결심들에 문제를 가지고 있었습니다. 

ex) My New Year's resolution is to lose weight. 

I had a problem with New Year's resolutions not because they often fail or because they are too difficult and not because I am bad at them either. 그것들이 자주 실패하거나 너무 어렵거나 내가 그것을 아주 못해서가 아닙니다. 

Keep your resolutions but go easy on yourself. 

Go easy on - to treat someone in a gentle way. Go easy on her, she's sick! Go easy on~은 살살 다뤄라, 심하게 하지 마라 등의 뜻으로 해석하시면 됩니다. 

Keep your resolutions but go easy on yourself. Will you change? Maybe but it probably won't happen in one big moment. It'll happen in thousands of little moments. 변화는 한 순간에 나타나기보다는 수천번의 작은 순간들 속에서 일어날 것입니다.

새해가 10일 정도 지났지만 이전에 세웠던 계획들을 차근차근 이뤄나가시길 바랍니다. 영어도 하루에 조금씩 꾸준히! Go easy on yourself!
